The signature denim colors from SMFK include black denim, gray washed denim, and white snowflake denim, with the complex and variable white snowflake wash being the most challenging. The color appearance changes rapidly, requiring the original dark blue denim fabric to undergo multiple washings and coloring processes to gradually fade back to the white of the denim cotton, resulting in three color layers in the final garment: 1. Large areas of warm white, 2. Transitional colors with snowflake speckles, 3. And the dark blue-black color fading along the stitching and edges.
